The animation is TV standard friendly, and the story is as mediocre as TV anime comes. The tournament and saga structure comes right from Dragonball. The character Hi is also a blatant rip off from Amano Jyaku (Urotsukidoji). The guy was a hentai artist prior to Yu Yu Hakusho, and is now married to the chick who created Sailor Poon __________________________________________________ | |

I just seen two or three episodes, but the battle scenes were a pain to watch. I haven't read da manga, but I remember flicking through issue 19 at someone's house once.
