Description:
*UPDATE* X-BOX is officially extending their warranty to three years. Anyone who had their Xbox fixed and had to pay money to have it fixed will get reimbursed (if you're still within the 3 year warranty period). Information from: The Newsweek magazine. July 16, 2007 edition. Page 10. Ben's 360 that had a decently warped mobo, and the GPU had poor solder connections. Fixed with mounts on bottom of motherboard (rather than just sitting on X-clips) and heatgunned GPU chip. Then remounted heatsinks with proper AS5 application. Had foil under GPU heatsink to begin with. Very poor heat transfer from that. 0102 Three red light error code. Works after fix. Modded with 12v fan. Message for mod / fix information. |

josholicious ::: Favorites man...it took them about a month to even get the box to me..and then two weeks to get it back, jesus christ they sent it to f*cking china and shit, but i got mine back and it seems to be working, anyone know about that new chip supposed to be coming with the new 360's so they DONT break at all anymore? yeah..that wouldve been nice in the first place...but damn. oh well...unreal tournament 3, star wars force unleashed, bioshock, and fracture are gonna be tight ass games 07-08-14 17:13:29 _____________________________________________________
fataldonking ::: Favorites did you got to get repairs ? 07-08-14 04:27:37 _____________________________________________________
JoshToTheSink ::: Favorites That black line on the TV is because it's a tubed TV, and NOT HD. Try video-taping a regular TV. The screen puts out 'pictures' at a certain rate, making it into motion, or video (just like a camera does). Basically since the video camera is trying to do the same thing, you get the black line, or sometimes black lines running from top to bottom of the screen (depending on the output and input of the filmrate). That's all that is happening(in a nutshell). 07-08-12 23:49:00 _____________________________________________________
Martinchief ::: Favorites its called vertical/horizontal synchonisation... all tv's and crt principal monitors have it. It doesnt put out pictures it 'fills' the tv from top to bottom and sends out a synchroframe (black) between it. So the 'ray' can go back to original position to fill again.. this happens so fast you cant see it, but a camera does. 07-08-18 18:39:40 _____________________________________________________
TheBlackEx ::: Favorites just Want to know part of the TV is black to you does it look normal. 07-08-12 15:14:22 _____________________________________________________
FLCLMAGE ::: Favorites The black part is just the TVs fault HDTV don't do that if i'm not mistaken 07-08-12 18:18:51 _____________________________________________________
Bruceleeroy559 ::: Favorites DUDE WE HAVE THE SAME T.V HELLA SICK... lol Emerson right?! 07-08-12 07:00:03 _____________________________________________________
tekno1er ::: Favorites ok.... bitter irony, my 360 first froze when i was playing gears of war. i tried 2 turn it on again, and it did the 3 lights! i heard that the 360 elite doesnt have that problem, is that true? 07-08-10 18:29:27 _____________________________________________________
JoshToTheSink ::: Favorites Yeah, they've worked out the kinks with the 360, and basically made a new "version" called the elite. It only has a few new basic features, but mainly the fact that it is the updated version of the 360. Anyways, you guys all have to remember that no matter what system it's been, they've all had their fine share of problems at the launch of the console. By the way gamefreak3207, the Halo 3 beta was considered a huge let-down to the highly anticipated reviewers and gamers a-like. 07-08-10 23:07:28 _____________________________________________________
beyblader10171 ::: Favorites same issue with me except i dont have gears of war. lol my xbx 360 crashes , i rebbot it and then my vains get cold , the three red lights appear!!!! wtf !! anyway i switched it of then , my 360 then started up normally then it crashes!!! omg 07-08-12 11:40:52 _____________________________________________________
tekno1er ::: Favorites did it ever do the ring of death after u modded ur 360? 07-08-09 21:54:03 _____________________________________________________
JoshToTheSink ::: Favorites tekno1er. No rings so far. The title of this video shows that it has been running 4 months strong. I update it every month that it still works. 07-08-09 22:03:17 _____________________________________________________
gamefreak3207 ::: Favorites y are u playing gears of war that game got old real fast but it was good while it lasted, but seriously stop playing it lol, no seriously 07-08-09 10:49:25 _____________________________________________________
JoshToTheSink ::: Favorites Gears of War is not overrated, and it definitely did not get old fast. It still holds the current standings for having the most online players in a console game at any given moment for the three consoles out right now. It's your opinion. Don't think everyone else thinks the same way. If you have an opinion like that, at least back it up with some facts. 07-08-09 22:02:26 _____________________________________________________
gamefreak3207 ::: Favorites ok ill back it up with facts practily no one fukin plays it any more and halo wasthe best game out for he xbox and when that comes out for the 360 it will kill gow and im not just stateing an opinion cuz over 1 million pre oders have already been made 07-08-10 13:32:38 _____________________________________________________
CleesePerson87 ::: Favorites I've fixed mine and forget about the 3 year warranty..... Why should i wait for another 3 months for fixing it when i can fix it now? 07-08-09 08:28:09 _____________________________________________________
kester999 ::: Favorites noone that buys a 360 should have to do this shit. 07-08-09 00:47:52 _____________________________________________________
JoshToTheSink ::: Favorites Then tell me why they don't use this precious metal anymore for the xbox's coming out now? I have a guess. Because it was merely a trial of a new way to transfer heat from chip to heatsink. It failed. 07-08-06 22:56:40 _____________________________________________________ |
