Description:
Ten facts you need to know about landmines: 1. Each year, up to 20,000 new casualties are caused by landmines and unexploded ordnance: around 1,500 a month and 40 a day. 2. Landmine injuries include blindness, burns, destroyed limbs and shrapnel wounds. Often the victim dies from the blast because they don't get to medical care in time. Those who do survive often need amputations, long hospital stays and extensive rehabilitation. 3. Eighty five per cent of all the injured children die before they reach hospital. 4. Landmines are a developmental disaster: they deny people the use of land and infrastructure. Treating survivors drains the poorest countries of scarce resources. 5. Eighty two countries are affected by landmines or unexploded ordnance. No-one knows how many mines there are in the ground but their impact is dramatic: it only takes two or three mines to render a piece of land unusable and just one wrong step to transform a life. 6. The most affected territories include: Afghanistan, Angola, Bosnia, Cambodia, Eritrea, Iraq, Laos, Somalia, Sri Lanka and Sudan. 7. In 2003, countries where mines were still used included: Burma, Burundi, Columbia, India, Iraq, Pakistan, Philippines,Russia (Chechnya), Somalia, Sudan and Nepal. 8. Fifteen countries produce or reserve the right to produce anti-personnel mines. Of these, India and Pakistan are actively engaged in new production of anti-personnel mines. 9. Somewhere between 190 million and 205 million anti-personnel mines are stockpiled by states not party to the Ottawa Treaty. 10. States Parties to the Ottawa Treaty are obliged to clear all mines on their territory within ten years of ratifying the Treaty. |

Description:
OK WATCH MY OTHER ROCKET LAUNCHER VID ITS EXPLOSIVE!!!!!! Comment back if u wanna see this thing create an explosion to build the rocket launcher you need: 6 feet of 3" diamiter pvc pipe 2 feet of 2" diamiter pvc pipe 2 3" to 2" adapters (1 adapter releases the 2" side at a fourty five degree angle) these are to be used as handlebars 1 estes model rocket "electron beam" egnition system" cut the 3" pipe into 3 segments, leaving most of the length for the back section so you have more room from your shoulder to the exuast (the end of the pipe). attach the adapters with pvc cement. the 90 degree adapter should go in the front. (see the pics of mine on youtube). attach the estes ignition system on the top of the midsection so it will be easy to hold the front handlebar with your left hand and the trigger (estes thing) with the right. all you have to do is tape it on securly. tape the wire coming from the estes engition all the way down the body to the back of the launcher where the wires will be attached to the rocket. that is the base design. from there you can tweak it to your convineince. ( e.g i taped on some foam as a shoulder pad because the launcher can get a bit heavy. To build the rocket: 1 estes b6-4 engine (found at hobby works etc) 3 or 4 peices of balsa wood as fins that run down the length of the engine. tape tape the balsa wood fins onto the engine evenly so that if you use 3 fins they should be 120 degrees apart and if you use 4 they should be 90 degrees apart. load the rocket into the engine. attach the engniter into the tip of the rocket engine and attach the two wires from the estes ignition switch onto the egniter. you are now ready to fire thanks, if you have questions email me back. |

Description:
Requested by Redfoxfan I have to admit, dealing with the crap I had to go through to make the popular vid, I was very on edge when I started listening to this. I cut off the beginning section when uhh...Elphaba? and Glenda are talking. [Never watched this play, so I'm not too familiar with the names] Anyway, the talking scene just didn't work too well. In fact, when they're talking in the middle of the song, I considered cutting that too, but it would have messed up the vid, so I didn't. I was actually very VERY happy with the way that Aladdin was able to fit. I was able to easily work in the scenes with very minimal editing which is always a bonus. Yea, Aladdin doesn't really work as Glenda...but Jasmine's like the only girl character in Aladdin and I really didn't want to have to deal with trying to put another movie into there. I think it works just fine, the scenes are right for the dialouge, it just Glenda is a bit more masculine in this version. Just be thankful I didn't use him/her for Popular. Ok, this is serious news here. Very recently, a member of the Youtube community, Sarabii, passed away after a hard-fought battle with cancer. I had never really talked to her minus a few video comments, but her videos were amazing, and like me, she was a Disney amv maker. She was a very nice person, but stuck in a sad time where she had no family and a very severe illness. I know I joke around on these descriptions a lot, but now I'm not. Go to Sarabii's page, and leave a comment. Even though she can't read it, it's her legacy. She can't be forgotten, she was too adored in the Youtube community. We have to keep her memory alive. And even if Disney starts taking out claims on the video material we use, we need to have her page going always. It's a public memorial to her greatness. So just keep her in mind when you go to bed tonight, and just remember how truly lucky you are to be alive, and how lucky she is that her suffering is through, and she's still very much loved here. |
